Hiram Village Transitions...
I was honored to photograph the swearing in of newly-elected Village Mayor Anne Haynam last evening. In addition awards were presented to outgoing Mayor Lou Bertrand, council members Frank Hemphill and Paul Spencer. These awards recognized their years of dedicated public service. Village Solicitor Tom Rietz was also presented with an award as well as a proclamation from the mayor. The ceremonies were just a brief interlude ahead of the regularly scheduled monthly council meeting. The wheels of local government were quickly set back into motion as Mayor Bertrand called to order the final meeting over which he will preside. Mayor-elect Haynam’s term officially begins January 1, 2024.
